Mount Sunapee Ski and Snowboard Resort, New Hampshire

Apres-Ski / Nightlife

Beer tapsMount Sunapee is not known as one of the rollicking apres-ski capitals of New England; however, there is a good time be had with a little research.

But be careful driving in this region of New Hampshire. The local police are vigilant. Keep your speed down.

The immediate apres-ski party normally takes place in the upper level of the base lodge at Goosefeathers Pub, where drinks and munchies are served and, on weekends, there is live music. It is a nice atmosphere to kick back and have a brew after a day on the slopes.

Murphy's Grille is a popular spot just off the traffic circle at the entrance to Mount Sunapee. For a more refined atmosphere and bar food, try the Mountain Spirits Tavern in the Mountain Edge Resort & Spa just across the road. Also, for those heading west to Vermont, One Mile West, yes, it's one mile west of Mount Sunapee, features a "ski town"-sized bar and casual dining.

In the evening, the town of New London, home of Colby College, has the best bars and some action. The Flying Goose Brew Pub & Grille at the intersection of Rte. 11 and Rte. 114 offers a roaring fireplace and an almost never-ending list of ales. In the village, Peter Christian's Tavern has a friendly atmosphere and you can eat at the bar.
